SeniorFlow Moment – Turning 83 and Moving Forward

·

·

I turn 83 this coming Saturday, April Fool’s Day 2023. I feel 40. . . well, maybe 50. I still have plenty of physical energy, workout nearly every day, eat good food, and keep a generally positive mindset. I attribute having reached 83 years old to having done those three things in earnest since I had a re-awakening in 2010 just a couple of months short of my 70th birthday.

In January of 2010, I made a complete lifestyle change and my quality of life improved dramatically. I stopped a bad alcohol habit, I changed my eating habits, and I started moving and exercising my body in a much more functional and intelligent manner.

Today, 13 years later, I am in excellent health, feel younger, have more energy, am experiencing a physical and mental “aliveness” I hadn’t had for years, and have plans for exciting things to come.

If you are age 60 or older, you can do the same thing. You can improve your physical movement skills, feel empowered, dramatically raise your energy levels, and live a longer, more purposeful and exciting life.

I created The Come Alive Project in 2010 with a goal to provide Seniors over 60, a method of “Coming Alive” again and flowing with a purposeful and high energy life. I wanted to create a community of like minded people, both online and in person. I planned a series of online tools and pathways for Seniors like you, who wanted to re-energize and get back into what I call “The Flow of Life”, a life of energy, flow, purpose and meaning.

I changed the name to SeniorFlow a few years ago to reflect the concept of Seniors in the Flow of Life, filled with that same youthful energy, enthusiasm and purpose. I changed the name of the blog from “Energy Bites” to “SeniorFlow Moments”.

In July 2019, I had planned the re-launch of a series of talks and workshops I had been giving. But that had to be postponed when my Grandson came to live with us at the end of June, 2019, and who is still with us. In addition to that, the COVID “thing” interrupted the live workshops and talks, and I never produced an online program as a substitute. I simply continued the blog.

But, as I have said so many times, don’t let age stand in the way of your purpose or goals. I will be starting the talks and workshops again shortly, and once the program is established, will produce the online program as originally planned. I want to reach as many active Seniors as possible.

I believe I have another 10 years of “energetic functionality” living within me. As I move from 83 onward, I plan to continue the Blog, as well as move forward with the talks, the workshops, and the online program. Look for future videos to be added to the mix. Stay tuned. 83 and Onward.
